I love to cook and bake. My tastes are simple, rarely do I ever attempt anything that requires tricky methods or hard-to-find ingredients. My ingredients come from my food storage. I started this blog as a place to keep track of my family's favorites, but sadly, my posts have been few and far-between. However, recently, I decided I wanted to have this blog printed into a recipe book that each of my kids can take with them when they leave home. We've got a long while before that happens, but I wanted to really get going on this project and maybe, just maybe there will be more than one volume.
I am always on the look-out for new recipes. I almost never add a recipe to my collection that I haven't changed or tweaked in some way. I love to experiment. My tweaking is an effort to make things healthier, with less fat and fewer calories, while keeping the taste. Of course, the exception to this comes in the department of desserts and treats. And that's okay, because if our meals are nutritious, then I can totally justify the stuff that isn't here and there. And here, again. (I love my treats!)
