Ingredients:
*1 cup butter or margarine, softened
*3/4 cup brown sugar
*1/2 cup sugar
*1 egg
*1 tsp vanilla
*1 tsp baking soda
*1 1/2 cups flour
*1 tsp salt
*3 cups oatmeal
*2 cups (or more) chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Beat together margarine and sugars until fluffy.
2. Mix in egg and vanilla.
3. Add flour, salt and baking soda, mix well.
4. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
5. Bake at 375 degrees for 9-11 minutes. (I only bake for 8 minutes because I like my cookies really soft.)
Notes:
-These cookies freeze really well.

LOL! don't you love it when a kid decides it's no longer good once they find out what's exactly in it.
I too am a big fan of oatmeal cookies.I will have to try your version out!
And really if they were fat free... wouldn't we think there was something wrong.. I would. I tend to shy away from fat free desserts, it just seems so wrong!
Ok ... I'm making those this weekend. They look awesome and scrumptious!
I have a recipe almost just like this. Instead of the regular oatmeal, it has you blend it up in a food processor and make oat-flour out of it. I LOVE them!
